Who says public transport lacks comfort? I was frequently on the way quite alone in Adelaide, apart from the driver of course. Not during rush hour of course, but even then the ‘crowds’ had no resemblance to those a city where most rely on public transport to commute.

    • Indeed! Most cities in my neck of the woods (Europe) are not built to accommodate private transport for all and sundry, so empty buses are a rare sight. Adelaide (Australia) has a vast urban sprawl and public transport is somewhat maligned although I think it’s rather well conceived
