Cities in Western and Northern Europe have a fair sprinkling of poverty stricken migrants from poor areas in Eastern Europe. Often these migrants are from ethnic minorities that have been disadvantaged and subject to discrimination for centuries. Life begging in the streets of rich countries feed the families at home. Broken societies create broken people.
A sad comment on the state of the world, beautifully illustrated. Well done.
Thank you. Indeed it is a sad world for much of humanity.
A great take on the theme, although a sad one but a very true one.
Thank you. Luck of the draw that we can spend time blogging instead of begging in the streets.

Don’t know what media you follow, what I read and hear is different. People so disadvantaged and poor in their home countries that sitting in foreign streets all day every day, in summer and bitterly cold winter, and then sleeping rough to boot is a better option than living at home. Difficult to see how a sinister organization would engage in this trade given other more lucrative pursuits like trafficking, drugs, smuggling, extortion and what have you.
sad truth!
