Well, sort of. Adapted to the WordPress weekly challenge for this week, adventure. The run was over 15 kilometers with the added component of nasty obstacles. It’s called Tough Viking and is held a few times a year in different parts of Scandinavia. The images here are from the race last week-end in Stockholm, Sweden.
- With a bit of help from my friends
- Sh*t!
- Woohoo!
- Tough does not mean young
- Which way is the track?
- On wings of fire
- Fire doused (?) in ice water
- A medal for all that made it
This looks not only challenging but also a bit dangerous! An excellent photo series for the challenge 😀
Thank you! I do believe that the run was a bit dangerous, in particular as the participants grew tired. The ambulance got a bit of business during the course of the day.
Great actions photos ………… there was a race like that close to here this summer and I did not go to take photos, looking at your photos I think I missed something
Thanks Nelson! This kind of event does certainly present lots of good photo opportunities. It’s all good fun as well. Go for it next time you’ve got an opportunity.
Holy smokes (pun intended) – running through fire?!?! No thanks!!! Too adventurous for me 🙂
Ha, ha! I was pretty content to be on the sidelines taking photos rather than participating in the madness. I admire those that did though!
Wow! I’ve never seen something like this before! Tough people! And brilliant photographer! 🙂
The photographer’s poetic license probably makes it look a tad tougher than it was…. Having said that, I would not have lasted long… Thank you for your kind words!
Indeed, and that’s when we are sure the photographer is good! Great job!
🙂
