I passed Pekina a couple of days ago, a small cluster of buildings that one would be hard pressed to call ‘town’ or ‘village’. It was more like a crossroad with a few buildings scattered around. One of those was a PUB. As the day was hot, touching 40C, I went in for some refreshments. Dave, the publican, showed me around and in the dining room they have this amazing mural
The artist passed Pekina in the 70ies and was thirsty. His cash reserves were low but in exchange for board and grog he painted the mural. I recon he did a great job.
